Shout out to Paul and his crew! I've been a customer for several months now, and each time I have stopped in, their meats and sandwiches are off the charts delicious. Paul and his employees go above and beyond with customer service! Today the line was out the door, they were short -staffed, (and apparently they were setting up for a big pig roast later today) yet, it all worked out perfectly. No one felt rushed, and I felt that all of the customers eagerly awaiting their orders were genuinely happy to be waiting. New Canaan Butcher Shop is a wonderful addition to the community!
Made my way to New Canaan to join the hype and try the New Canaan Butcher Shop, had heard from multiple friends of how spectacular the food tastes. It did not disappoint, she went with the “Caprese sandwich” while I did a “build your own” with ham, cheese and mayo on the press (feeling plain for the day). I don’t know where they get their cold cuts but holy moly it was so delicious. The meat and cheese are of top quality! The bread was amazing too, it had a crunch to it from the press while the inside was nice and soft. We only got sandwiches for the day but the butcher meat looks top quality as well. Before leaving we had a chance to chat with the guys behind the counter along with Paul the owner, who is so chill and down to earth. Really enjoyed hearing about their stories and their future plans, amongst many the coming soon grill to accommodate breakfast sandwiches like the BEC. If you’re in the area do yourself a favor and drop by. It’s not just luck that they have a 5/5 rating, you will not be disappointed.

A long overdue review but we love the New Canaan Butcher Shop. The staff is great, the sandwiches are delicious, and the beef is top quality.During the holidays I was tasked with cooking a dinner for 20+ people for my father's birthday party and the staff (forgive me, I don't remember her name!) was able to order me 10+ lbs of prime boneless short rib on extremely short notice. The meal was a huge hit and I'm so grateful for their help.Believe me, it's worth spending a few extra dollars to support a great local business and get delicious, high quality meat.
